Foster is an illustrator that earned his BFA in the Rhode Island School of Design in 1989 and currently lives and works in Providence, Rhode Island. The main subjects in Foster's illustrative work are sci- fi and fantasy and his images oddly posed seemingly animated characters and environments help to bring these worlds to life. Everything from his painting application which stylizes anatomy in favor of dynamism and suggestive motion to his complex perspective choices and composition make this illustrator unique in my eyes. He ha worked on books like Mistborn, Star Wars, Dungeons and Dragons, Alternity, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and many other Dark Horse comic books. His method involves painting with oils and adding digital embellishments.
